Marjorie P. Gabriel aka River Goddess

When it comes to wet play and water recreation (and stop thinking along the naughty line), there’s not many in Malaysia who can boast of the vast experience she brings to these fields.

A pioneer in the Whitewater Rafting scene in Kuala Kubu Bharu, she has led hundreds of rafting expeditions down the very same rapids you will play in. From leading children as young as 3 down rapids, to experience kayakers worldwide, she is renowned for her expertise when it comes to tubing, kayaking and whitewater rafting.

She brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in leading her charges through wide ranging technical rapids, wild rapids and calm waters. The River Goddess has paddled class 5 rivers in Nepal, Sumatra, Thailand and New Zealand to competition kayaking in the wilds of Indonesia.

She has led groups as large as 30 through the rivers of Selangor with nary a casualty in all her 10 years of running river expeditions, and she’s not about to start! An American Canoe Association/ ACA certified whitewater kayaker and Swiftwater Rescue technician herself, she has played a big role in training many of the local indigenous Temuan guides and younger paddlers here today. You know you’re in good hands when the moniker, River Goddess, sounds so apt. So come get wet with her.
